I installed my X2.6ce and get to the flashbios 3.0.3 screen. I try flashing through the network flashing option. I flash it (goes to yellow bar then green) and my xbox turns off automantcally (like it should). But when I turn it back on, I get the flashbios 3.0.3 screen again. I have not been able to get past that. Any suggestions on what I should do or what I am doing wrong?

I have some quick questions. What are you flashing and more importantly what is the file size. If I remember correctly 3.0.3 is on bank 2. If you are only flashing a 512k bios then it is on bank one. Try switching your switch to bank 1 and see what happens. Let us know....//
Well, I successfully flashed the bios. I had to make a 1024k bin file. Now, when I boot up I get the microsoft X symbol with the Evox logo in the top left corner. How do I put a dashboard on it? I flashed it with the newest version of evox.

is there anyway to change the bios? I tried getting back the the flashbios by selecting bank 1 instead of 2 but it still boots to evox.
yes there is a way to change the bios
get a dash on your box first the ftp support like avalaunch or unleashx or whichever you want
get a program from the usual places called FlashX
ftp the app over to your box with a folder called bios and the bios of your choice in it to a drive (c,e,f,g)
when you launch FlashX from your box it will ask you which bank to flash and which drive the bios folder is in, select the appropriate drive and the bios you placed in the folder should show up and you're ready to flash

Thanks, I was reading features of evox and I saw bios flashing. One more question. Is there anyway to put a dashboard without using a cd? Because currently I have a thomson drive that has the dreaded dirty disc error. I have tried hooking a PC dvd drive to my xbox (http://xbox-scene.com/articles/dvddrive.php) but it freezes at the flubber thing.

I finally got it, I just had to keep ejecting the cd rom drive until it loaded. Took about 6-7 times.
I wasnt sure if this was the right spot or not, but i recently flashed my 1.0 ver box with a X2.6 chip with the new 5035 bios i got from xbins. It froze halfway through 
now on boot with chip enable i get a black screen, chip disabled goes to msdash. I have read a lot of posts and the i only saw one that addressed this, he eventually FTP'd in and placed an evox.ini file in with a flash bios setting and guessed at the button sequence. I cannot seem to FTP into it. I was wondering if there is any other way to flash it without having to buy a cable( little low on funds at the moment ). Any help would be appreciated.

Any help would be appreciated.When i start it up on bank 1, it has a black screen during and after load. Bank 2 frags out. I think it froze at the beginning of Bank 2 (3,4) while i was flashing it, which would explain why it at least frags on load. I'm pretty sure the only way to salvage it is to either swap out the chip to another box or buy the cable. I just wanted someone to tell me that was certainly the only way to fix this mess. Thanks for your timely response. Hopefully I can get this up and running again and check out the new 5035 bios.
if both banks are fragging you can get a programmer and flash via pc or to do a hotswap with another chip and box
