flashBIOS 3.0.3 on a 1.6?

ok heres my problem...i flashed banks 1234 (on on off off) with the wrong bios because i am using a 1.6 xbox (i flashed with x3_3294.bin when i should have flashed with the "v16 plus" one, i had no idea that there were specific bioses for different versions at the time) and i ended up with it shutting on and off twice and then FRAGs.......... when i boot into banks 5678 (off on off off) flashBIOS 3.0.3 comes up, now that i know i have the right bios (v16 plus) will flashBIOS 3.0.3 work with a 1.6 xbox? ... if not what should i do?

If booting banks 5678 gives you another FlashBIOS screen (3.0.3), then you're in luck. Once you see FlashBIOS on screen, set the switches to banks 1234 and try flashing again with the correct BIOS. DO NOT FLASH OVER BANKS 5678. If banks 1234 still don't boot, repeat the process (boot to 5678, set to 1234 and flash). You can keep doing this as long as you don't flash over banks 5678.

Also, you can try booting the backup BIOS (power & eject at the same time). If this works, you have nothing to worry about anyway.

awesome.... im gonna try that when i get home..... and last night i tried to boot to the backup bios but it didnt work on 1234 or 5678...

and if this doesn't work.... my friend has a 1.3(not100%) xbox with an xecuter 2 in it.... if i switch his xecuter 2 with my xecuter 3 (already flashed with x3_3294) it should work because his xbox is a 1.3 right???

because i was wondering, if i could get to "x3 config live" and reflash banks 1234 with the "x3_3294v16plus" and then put it back in my 1.6 xbox...

or is it not even possible to reflash from "x3 config live"?

You can flash all banks from X3 Config Live - even the backup ROM.

Once you know what version of FlashBIOS works best, get a 256k version of it from our site / xbins and flash the backup ROM with it. As long as you never flash over it again in X3 Config Live, you'll always have a recovery option.
