FlashBIOS / Backup Question

Sorry... I'm new at this and apologize in advance if these answers are in an FAQ somewhere... I really did look but didn't find what I was looking for...

What does the X3 come loaded with? I think I saw some thing about FlashBIOS 3.0.1 in 1234 and the backup chip and v3.0.3 in 5678. Is this correct?

when new, is the x3 booting from the backup or from 1234/5678 (depending) on the switch settings?

I'm pretty sure that my xBox is 1.6b (brand new)... and I'm assuming that I'll need 3.0.3 but I don't have much confidence in the mod vendor.

Assuming 3.0.1 is in bank 1234 and 3.0.3 is in 5678, how do I reprogram the backup to be 3.0.3 if it comes as 3.0.1?

If you've got the flashbios 3.0.3 in bank 5678, boot with that, then flash bank 1234 with X3's 1959 bios (if you've got a 1.6b you need the 'plus' version that comes in the .rar). Afterwards in the X3 config live menu you can flash the backup rom with the flashbios 3.0.3, or any other 256k bios you want.

I'll have to see what comes on the X3 that is currently in transit.

Is it normal to have 3.0.1 in 1234 and 3.0.3 in 5678 or is this something the vendor does before sending out the product? I've asked the question but not gotten a straight answer.

once it was discovered that 3.0.1 didn't work with the 1.6b boxes, Team Xecuter started shipping X3's with both, so if your chip was made in the last 2 months, you should have both, if it's older stock you might only have the 3.0.1
