i'd like to see the following added to the flashbios, i think they would be substantially helpful to people.

1) Automatic flash from dvd/cd bios file after 30 seconds of menu inactivity
2) Automatic network flashing enabled after 30 seconds of inactivity, if no dvd/cd is in the drive.

this would solve problems with unsupported controllers in flashbios, and means people modding on a large scale dont have to plug one in to flash the machine.

bad idea. Then you get people complaining about how they didn't want it to flash and they didn't know they had their bios cd in ect. Just go buy a controler.

New modder with a few questions

I just wanted to clear up a few questions i had before i went ahead.

How do you know if you have the correct sata chipset for a proper flash? I'm pretty sure i have a jmicron which i believe is fine for samsung drives although i don't know the exact model number.

I have an E-sata port on the front of my case. Can i use this or do i need to use the sata ports on the board.

I've watched a few videos and most say you need a pci sata card. If i have sata on my MB do i still need this?

How can i make a back-up of the firmware on my dvd drive before i flash?

Thanks in advance.

Plug in the dvd drive and see if Jungleflasher can see it.

I am unsure about this, but I am fairly sure that these don't work. No harm in trying.

First, try the sata ports on your motherboard and see if those work. If they don't work, then you will need a card.

You click the "read" button in jungleflasher, and save your FW to your computer. This isn't really required, you can find stock FW on the internet, just put your key in the stock FW and it's the same thing.

I really recommend you use Jungleflasher, and read the Jungleflasher tutorial, it will answer all your questions. :)
