Flashbios doesnt show up - X3CE

I installed my X3CE chip and turned on the box but im not getting the flashbios screen it goes directly to the original green dashboard. Is it a bad install or what. Any help is appreciated.

Just tap the button realy fast and see what it does.

If it truns on then off straigt away a few times then you have done a something wrong with the install. Most likely the D0 wire.

What version xbox is it?

It's a 1.6b w/ pcb rebuild; i did the quick tap and i got the blue LED, but i have no video just a yellow / orange ring around the front of the box. I switched to; off on off off off and i got video. then i flashed http and everything is working fine now. Thanks.
I do have one more question though. after i flashed to: on on off off off should i move the dip switches or just leave it, i'm not planning on running any other bios. Again thanks for your help.

mate make 100% that your backup is working power eject at same time to get flashbios screen before flahing on on off off off
if you getting flashbios on the setting on on off off off and your backup not working do not flash bios on that setting
if you have flashed X3 bios to setting off on off off off and it works hold down the white button on controler till you get bios screen then you can flash your backup bank so it work guide is below howtoo flash backup using bios
so do not flash on on off off off unless you have backup bios working it will pay to get it working
use flashbios 3.0.3 for V1.0 to V1.5 and V1.6b xboxs
use flashbios 3.0.1 for V1.6

I'm not sure i understand how to properly access the backup. When i press power and eject at the same time, what should the dipswitch setting be. Like i said i booted up Flashbios 3.03 with switches on: off on off off off. Then as soon as the flashing option screen came up i moved the switches to: on on off off off. And flashed. I haven't touched anything since. What should my settings be to access the backup and also if i move the switches will i have to reflash or will it boot up properly with the: on on off off off configuration. Thanks i appreciate it.

Basically you have a 1.6B that don't like 3.01 Bios's
Banks 1-4 v3.01
Banks 5-8 v3.03
Backup v3.01
So if you try to boot to your back up you wont see nothing, ENSURE you put the correct bios on X3 3294 v16plus.bin is for v1.6/v1.6b Xbox Versions.

Take a look at a link in DJBOOBYS sig (busted Chain) I think, it will explain on how to flash the back up OR you can flash X3 3293v16plus to your other bank via FTP, its real easy, boot into x3CL FTP to your XBOX, go to the ADMIN folder, locate your 1 meg bank folder, select your bank to flash 1234, change your switches, turn off the flash protect and drop the bin file into the folder, it will auto flash.
