Flashbios version

Hi,

I would like to know which version of Flashbios I need (I have a v1.6 not b) before buying a X3.

After some hours of search, I understood those compatibilities :
- Flashbios 3.0.0 : v1.1 -> v1.6
- Flashbios 3.0.1 : v1.1 -> v1.6
- Flashbios 3.0.3 : v1.1 -> v1.5 and v1.6b. It works with v1.6 but the eject button need to be pressed several times until the screen appears.

Am I right ?

Yes, you're spot on.

The X3 will come with FlashBIOS 3.0.1 (and 3.0.3 usually), so you shouldn't need anything other than your chosen X3 BIOS (latest is 3029v16plus for you) to get it up and running!

Can i just confirm that 3.0.3 will work on a 1.6? But you have to press the eject several times?

Yes - it does work.

Each time the eject led stops flashing, press the eject button.

Eventually you'll get the FlashBIOS screen.

Is it true that the X3's come with the 3.0.1 flash bios on bank 1 and 3.0.2 on bank 2?

They should be shipped with 3.0.1 on Banks 1234 and 3.0.3 on banks 5678.
