Wondering if Xecuter had any plans on a new flashbios with HDTV output..
Or would any else besides me like that idea ?
I'm in my backup flash now with no screen just blue, boots 1959 and 1943 w/o any hitches.. this is not a problem, just a question.

How often do you need the flashBIOS screen?

Why not just switch cables for the duration of using flashBIOS.

It's a little like the fat man asking for the seats on planes to be wider... ;)

Well if the fat man paid coach.. thats his fatass fault.. ride 1st class and you get room, that kinda links to my question.. would it hurt if I bought the 1st class system, to not get 1st class in everything ? If you dont have a HD system you wouldnt understand how ass it is to hook and unhook all those wires. Anyway.. it's not alot to ask.

Fine - I'll give you the sourcecode and *you* can do it.

Why do you need to keep going into FlashBIOS??? You can flash your chip via X3CL using either the Flash BIOS option or FTP to the admin folders.

The only time you might need to go into Flashbios is the first time you flash your chip with a new bios ... and at that point, the xbox has pretty much been in pieces, and put back together ...

I have a "first class seat" as well (60" Hitachi Ultravision), and no mater what "class" you are, you still need to go through security with everyone else - if a HDTV is in anyway decent it will have regular A/V jacks in a front panel. Thats where I plug mine in while doing testing. Once everything is working THEN I put the Xbox in the rack and plug the component cables in.

just keep both sets of cables pluged into the back of your TV. Keep the regular A/V cable coiled up behind the TV untill you need it. How hard is that?

Well if you wanna give me the source code, thats fine, im sure it's coded in C, so i'd be happy to do it. We were past security holmes when the fat man asked for a bigger chair.. i'd figure the 1st class attendant would be happy to provide me with an extra pillow, after all it's her job. But if I have to get my arse up and raid the lil booth with all the goodies in it, so be it.

it would be cool if all the xecuter bioses were open source, but at the same time it would suck because xodus would have access too and be able to "scurry back into their base to copy us again"

My understanding is that Flashbios is based on the Cromwell bootloader. Cromwell is a linux distro. That raises an interesting question - that means it must be GPL'd and the source code released ... hmmm. Where is it? could be wrong as well. Been known to happpen :D

Back to the airline analogy. Before you board the plane, every user, no matter what class they are flying passes through security. You are no different to any other passenger until you ploke your butt down in the wide leather seats up front.

Security is a gate keeper - everyone gets the same interface. Just because you are flying first class doesn't mean they heat they give you a recliner when they go through a pat down - you sit in the same plastic seat as everyone else.

I thought that Team X had released the source code for the flashbios on xbins somewhere?
