if you have a 1.6b xbox you should tell the modchip dealer before you purchase the chip to make sure they send it to you with 3.03 on it
also save the email or chat that says they will incase they dont

Then you don't need to worry about flashbios v3.0.3, it's only an issue if you have a v1.6b xbox.

First time jtag, but not to modding..confused about photo..

I am about to perform the jtag on my console and for the xenon system ive found two different photos/tuts for this process..

first in this photo someone used 3 330 ohm resistors instead
of switching diodes.

What if any are the differences in using the resistors over the diodes?

Or are these for two totally separate hacks?

Can anyone recommend a jtag tut? I have already done the HDD unlock hack and am proficient in soldering, flashing,modding ..just need to find a good tutorial to follow. The 7 sins links arent working for their jtag section..

these are 2 different things, but you have to do both.

the first picture is for connecting the lpt jtag cable - for reading and dumping the nand.

the second picture is for enabling the jtab mod so it will
boot the mod.....

you have to do the second one no matter what.

But one mod uses resistors and one mod uses diodes for the jtag hack not the lpt part... the 3 jtag wires with 2 diodes. and one tutorial uses 330 resistors for the jtag wires... thats what i was wondering.. the pictures show what i mean.. look where the jtag wires go, no the lpt..

Actually it probably helps if i use the right pics for the mobo i have..

I made a new post with the question I ment to ask..

I was confused because one photo shows the xenon board while the other is the zephyr..
