flashed 1957 on 1.6 now nothing but black screen and FRAG

I flashed Bios v1957 using a properly burnt cd on my 1.6 and now when the unit is turned on it turns on and off twice and stays on a black screen the led is FRAG. i can go back to flashbios by doing the little eject/power button thing. any help is greatly appreciated.

i would check all your soldering 1st,

then flash the x31957 bios to the 256k backup(pwr&eject) via http




does the xbox work with the chip disabled?

FRAG = bad install or bad flash. thats it.

the xbox works when the chip is disabled, and the soldering seems fine.

of course it works fine when disabled - that means your INSTALL IS BAD (on the LPC points - obviosuley your d0 is fine. it only takes ONE lpc point to be a dry joint)

you may THINK the soldering is fine but it isnt I assure you. do it again.
