Flashed bios but will not boot.

Hey i have just flashed my bios with 1959 and it worked and went just like the tutorial said and then auto shut off. When i tried to turn it back on it would should itself off then turn on again.....shut off and then turn on and frag. I did not change any of my bank settings since i flashed it, (on pro3 switch, flash protection off, then on, off,off,off.) I was told it should be like for the first time. Please any help is welcome!

the switches should be set on on off off off
and make sure you have the correct bios for the version of your xbox.

versio 1.0 and it is the 1959 bios. What now? How do i backtrack? It won't come up with anything soo how do i fix it.

set your switches as i said above and bootup to the backup flashbios by pressing the pwr and eject buttons and you should see the flashbios screen.

I have the pro3 switch and i'm assuming that pushing the button is is turning it on... The first button is my flash protection which turns red when out and green when in and then I have 4 button after that. I'm puzzeled cuz you said, "on on off off off" If i have my flash protection in, it wont even read the cd. And then i tried with it off and the next four doing, on on off off. it didn't work either. Thanks so far :wink: . I'll be waiting to hear from ya

the flash protect needs to be disabled. while i don't have a pro switch i am assuming that red means off and green means on.

i agree. so what config should i have the remainging four buttons in??? I tried on on off off and it didn't work. Same problem as be4, it loads the bios and it auto shuts off but then wont boot and results in a frag. Any ideas?

So you're switches 1&2 are on when you try to boot the bios?

Wait, what switches were on/pushed in when you flashed?

My switches for the flash were as follow: first one is flash protect...it must be off...then the last four were on on off off. it did everything correctly and shut off. I tried to boot, not moving any of the switches leaving them just like they were and it results in a frag. Still puzzeled.

try unplugging the pro swith and see if you can flash it.

If your xbox works fine with the chip disabled (long press of power button) then take your box apart and resolder any questionable connections.

Make sure it is the proper version of the 1959, however. There's a 1.0-1.5 version and a 1.6/1.6b version. Both are included in the rar file on xbins.

i did not see two different bios's there but what Im going to do is try 1957 and if that works than I know everything is installed properly and its something with the new bios and maybe the cd I burned it on. However I don't think its the cd, because I get the whole..."Don't Touch your xbox".....and the meter fills yellow and then green over the yellow and then shuts of which is exactly what it is supposed to do. However then it wont boot to any bank. Thanks for the info guys.....I'm still trying to get it right.. :wink:
