Ok I am a dumb noob, I have a ver 1.0 Xbox and an xecuter 3.0 mod chip with the pin header install (my soldering is correct i work with electronics and solder every day) and the stock hard drive. (for now) I booted the Xbox, and it booted just fine, I downloaded flashbios 3.03 un rar'ed the file and used Http to flash. I followed the tutorial just like it said, (dip switches on on off off off)and I loaded the file, and it said flashing then powered itself down. My problem is when i turn it back on it comes back to the flash screen and says flash bios 3.0.0. like it dident flash. Did i do something wrong?

yeah. All you did was reflashed flashbios and your flasbios now should be 3.0.3 and not 3.0.0 if you did it correctly. You need to get hacked (illegal) X3 bios version 3029 from usual place. It will be in rar form so you need to extract it with winrar and make sure to use X3 3029.bin for your bios file.

yea I downloaded the hacked bios on banks 1234 the on, on, off, off, off and now that setting that I flashed won't boot up it just shuts off. But when I turn on the 5678 banks off, on, off, off, off it loads up to the original flash bios 3.0.0 screen. I used the hacked bios 3029.

i would like sum advice before trying to flash 5678 cuz i dont want to make my chip unusable so please answer I have had my chip for 4 months and just got a dvd-playback kit and I was really looking forward to getting my chip to work and fly some warthogs in halo 2 so PLEASE help me.
ok, I see that you have version 1.0 xbox am I correct? I just want to make sure that you were flashing with X3 3029.bin bios. With X3, you don't need to worry too much because you always have backup bios to fall back to. In any case, go ahead and try to flash to your 5678 banks (switches set to off on off off off). It is recommended you disconnect all controllers and dvd kits and just use one controller on port 1 during flashing. Chose your method of flash and flash but I highly recommend http flash though since it's simplier and easier imho.

my backup has never worked when I push the eject and the power button the logo turns purple then my box either locks up or it shuts off so I only have 1 flashable bank left

If I were you, this is what I would do just in case I f*ck up. I would download flashbios 3.0.3. Boot up to flashbios on banks 5678 with switches on [off on off off off]. Once on flashbios screen, make sure to configure the switches to [on on off off off] and flash flashbios 3.0.3 to banks 1234. By doing this, I at least still have another bank with flashbios. Then you have your choice to reflash hacked X3 bios to banks 1234 or 5678 without fear.

the dvd playback kit is the only controler I hasve that is made my microsoft and works and yes I do have a 1.0 xbox

pk just ta try sumthing I turned flash protect to on and it still went on flashing but it also still shut off and didnt finish this was on banks 5678 any reason why this might happen?

well i had to do 2 bridges to the chip ,1, from the pin header or wire header and ,2, from the control panel to the chip. and i made sure it wasnt on flas protect and it is the original xecuter 3
