Just tried to flash xbox with x3 1959, but forgot to change switches and know the xbox won't boot up. It start up 3 times turns of 3 times and the power led just flashes red. It will load up okay the original ms dash. I flashed the banks that the flash bios 3.03 was on.

you should just be able to boot to your X3's backup bios (press eject and power at same time when u turn it on) then after it loads set the dip switches to where they should be then reflash the mod chip.

you guys need to stop assuming worst case scenario, start small then work into big
have you tried putting the dips to on on off off since you flashed to see if it boots up?

also if you need to access 3.03 it's probably on one of the banks 5-8 still

Dude, he flashed with all of them off, which will of course remove the original flashbios. If your backup bios doesn't come up and you get an orange light, check your solder points. If they're good, then send the chip back, is what I would suggest.

actually you're wrong, because the flashbios that comes on the chip is set to default flash only first 1meg and isn't meant to even try anything else

Re: question

Mate... honestly I think you need to read through the forums before you post a question like that.

In short probably...depends on the the type of xbox and the type of liteon.

If its a slim with the new drive then I don't think so - but I could be wrong. Otherwise... Yes.
