Flashed BIOS, problem or what next?

Morning,

I've searched through a load of posts but couldn't find an answer - probably because I don't understand all that's going on  The aim is to run XBMC and I have got version 061106 files on my PC.

So far I have installed a new Xecuter 2.6ce 1MB modchip. It boots into the FlashBIOS on both bank 1 and bank 2.

I flashed bank 1 using http with x2_5035_vOld_512k.bin and did not edit the x2config.ini file.

The Xbox now boots up from bankl 1 with a 'xecuter2 config live loading...' screen, then the flubber thing, then the 'Rox my box' screen. Then it loads up the MS Dash. This is where I'm stuck - what next? Can I now start an ftp session to copy the xbmc files across?

Bank 2 still boots to flashBIOS okay.

Regards,

Kris.

Thanks DJBOOBY, but how do I get into the X2 Config? I've tried holding down the white button on the controller while switching the xbox on, but that didn't work.

Regards,

Kris.

FTP into your xbox. Rename your default.xbe file in the XBMC folder, to evoxdash.xbe. When you run your xbox now, the bios will look for evoxdash.xbe first and run execute that file. It will think that it's running an evolution X dashboard but really it will be your your XBMC.

you need to either make a boot disc or use an auto installer, i would recommend making a boot disc for xbmc then ftp transfer you .ini to where it should be. ( i forget ) make sure to have you ini configured to boot from the xbmc folder which you will transfer when you ftp, then when xonfig live loads, it will load the xbe from the xbmc folder , i use a shortcut which i think is easier. google xbe shortcut maker for more info.

ftp to your xbox by useing a boot or install dvd if you get auto installer deluxe 3 and update it to AID3.0.3 it will install XBMC 06/06/06 build to your xbox then all you have to do is ftp your x2config file to your PC then change your dash setting as well bump up your fan speed a must if your going to use XBMC
then save then ftp it back
