O.k. I'll try to make this as short and to the point as possible. Alright i got a v1.0, x3 solderless. Now the problem......i installed everything and i got it all working fine, i have 2 blue leds and 1 green/red on the chip the front switch lights up with the right colors pending on the boot. Now here is the problem i flashed my bios with x3 3294 and it took everything like it should you know the yellow bar then the green bar and then the powering itself off. However after i turned it back on the box would power up for a second then beep and turn off, i can boot it backup mode just not with the bios bank that i flashed being on on off off can someone please help me as this is driving me crazy. im having almost the exact same problem, i made the cd correct, set it to on on off off off and it flashes the bank fine does the yellow bar then the green bar then shuts down, but when i power it back up, it boots, shuts off, boots, shuts off, boots and then frags. But if i change the bank sequences it will turn on to a specific one, so i flash that one and it does the exact same thing
Yeah i hope someone can help us with this, seeing as this needs to be done before we can use our chip

This sounds more like an install problem. Make sure that your adapter is correctly lined up on all pins.retep2281 said:

ive got a verson 1.2 xbox with Xecuter 3 mod, xapt3r, and control panel. Im not exactally sure what i flashed it with, but it will only boot with the switches set to off off off on, I got the X3 3294 bios downloaded and burnt to about 3 cd's but they all get the "no bios update found..Halting!" message. The cd's ive tried to use were a memorex cdr, verbatiem cdr, and philips cdrw. I have nero 6, but its not the same verson as it is in the tutorial, so i can select the no multisession and the ISO's, can anybody tell me how to fix this lil delema?
Boot to your back-up bios, then set your switches to off-on-off-off, and make sure your flash protect is set to off (switch panel and chip).
Also, try flashing via network, it's much easier and doesn't waste CDs.

I flashed mine via network with the x3 3294 bios for the version 1.0-1.5 or whatever it is......meaning i didnt use the 1.6. Also you said it may be an install issue that confuses me since everything turns on and loads up right its only after the bios is flashed.
Flashbios, EvoX bios, X2 bios etc all use pins 1 to 12. The X3 bios also uses pins 13 and 14. So if the bios' work fine, but the X3 bios fails, then you may have a problem with pins 13 and/or 14.

Can no body help us with this problem....that really sucks since i have an xbox taken apart and a chip that doesnt do anything after i flash it sitting in there. Does someone have any suggestions on what to do i think im goin to try installing it in my buddies since he has a later model with out solder in the holes maybe thats my problem.....if that doesnt work do you think my chip is bad?
All I can suggest is that you try to get another X3 bios from Xbins and flash that. If that fails, get your chip soldered in.

How do we "re-flash" a 1 mb bank if there is was a bad flash and its now fragging? i need to know how to flash Flashbios 3.0.1 or FB 3.0.3 back to my banks. I have 1.6b and flashed X3 3294 bios to my first 1mb bank and the old 1463 bios to see if thet would work, neither works and boots three time and red/green flash frags.

Boot to your second 1mb bank, which still contains 3.03, then switch to your first 1mb bank and flash away.
