Hi I have installed my x3 chip with no probs, booted up first time, i have flashed the bios with the 1957 version but i belive in my haste i have not set dip switches on the front correctly, I left them all to the left as default.

Now when i boot the box turns on, turns off, turns back on and then the leds flash green and red and no display on TV.

I can boot from the backup and I get the standard cromwell bios, all i wanted to ask is how do i get back to a state where i can try the flash procedure again. Do i try from the backup bios or not.

Thank you in advance

Sorry forgot these details
Xbox version 1.6
UK model

After reading up some more i am going to try the test bios on the first thread of this board.

I belive also i have not used the V1.6 version of the 1957 bios.

Would a good idea be to remove the dip switch panel from the front, boot up the box from the recovery bios and then flash with the recommended test bios.

Is this the right way to proceed.

Thanks

Re: Whats up with all this jasper crap?

basics from what i hear is the jasper chipset is just the coolest therefore safest running chipset bringing the rrod rate hopefully down below %10 for this set coming out.
