Hi everyone, so I flashed my Liteon a few days ago and everything went smoothly and I flashed the drive successfully with jungleflasher. When I put my xbox back together I got the open tray error for everything I put in, originals and DVD's. I did some research and figured I burnt out my laser somehow and ordered a new laser and installed that today. I am still getting the open tray error but this time the new laser will attempt to read the disc for about a minute before it stops. I flashed back to stock firmware to see if that was my problem but I am still getting an open tray error. What is the next step I can take? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

did you remove the solder blob?
Yup, the solder blob was removed. I can't figure out why this laser reads for so long before giving me the open tray error versus my stock laser which almost gave me the error immediately.

iv bought new lasers that needed adjusted out of the box. just because its new doesnt mean installed it will run perfect without minor adjustments. check the ribbon cable to all motors. if the end of them are damaged then youll have your answer. also check that the laster slides easy on the rails. if the seek motors worm gear is clogged up with dirty grease then it becomes like sliding plastic across sand paper and makes the laser stiff and unable to move.
