I flashed my drive from stock and now it gets the 'open tray' whenever I put a backup or original in. I flashed back to stock and it still does the same thing. Would you say this is just a bad laser or could it be something else. (note. this drive was working PERFECTLY beforehand.)

I'm on the latest dashboard and yea it was fully plugged in. I think I'm just gonna have to pot tweak it
first thing i would do is take the drive apart and see the location of the laser, sometimes the laser gets stuck on the outer edge of the spindle and cannot read the disk hence open tray error. gentle push the laser to the centre of the drive and try again. hope this helps.
