You could try the pot tweak. Tutorial available from the search tool. (This is only a temp fix)

You say you have tried two other drives and they do the same thing, well that's a clear indication on bad media reguardless of what stats you get. Either that or you havn't flashed the drives correctly.

I see what your saying but although the drives can play normal and old back ups they are in fact old drives so cannot rely on the quality of the laser having read that 3.0 puts an extra strain on the laser to rule this out I've ordered some new lasers. Is there anyway I can confirm that the media is aok? the drive Benq vad6038 64930c was flashed with LTPlus-0442-v3.0.bin dash was updated to 14719 before drive got flashed.

sure thing :) took me a while to find it though :rolleyes2:

I burned at x2.4 as the guide on here said to do

So is it just XGD3 backups that are not working? Or any new backup that you burn regardless of size??

it's extremely unlikely that you would have three drives that can't read xgd3, i've flashed maybe 150 drives since xgd3 came out and the only drives that i've have trouble with are old hitachi's. The problem lies elsewhere me thinks.

Play a few games before trying to play the back ups i know sometimes when i flash it does that it acts like it needs a warm up from a fresh flash to me but idk

Try the below settings, they work perfectly for me. I haven't had a bad burn in quite a while now.

Burn Speed = 4x
Layerbreak = Calculate Optimal
OPC = OFF
SB = ON
FHT = ON
OS = OFF
OHT = OFF

Let us know if you end up getting your problem resolved.
