Flashed over the backup ROM

hi. i got my 1.6 X3 up and running fine, got the 1-4 banks flashed to the newest X3 bios, and all is good.

However, i made a mistake and flashed over the backup ROM with flashbios 3.0.1 and when i realized it, I tried to double check it was still ok ( i mean it was the right version for my XBOX), it wouldnt boot. the purple light on the switch comes on for a second then it turns blue. i tried to reflash it with flashbios 3.0.1 thru config live and same happens. when i flashed with 3.0.3 to test it, the icon stays purple but it doesnt load a screen. reflashing back to 3.0.1 repeats the above

Config Live shows the backup rom flash going through ok, but when i attempt a backup rom boot (power and eject) i get a black screen and a rapid green/off flashing light. but the X3 from normal boot mode stillworks fine. any idea how to get my backup ROM flashbios for safety sake?

I know it was dumb to flash over the backup ROM, i just wanna fix it

Killi,
no point trying to flash 3.0.3 to any banks including backup as it will not work on a 1.6.
You need 3.0.1 on the backup ...
You must have a corrupt file try by downloading it again and reflash from the xbox hdd using CFL.
or, of course, u could also put any 256K bios there ...i have put evox EvolutionX M8 Bios_v1.6 on there and it works fine.

Once u have a good bios in backup then go ahead and flash your second 1M bank (5-8) . This will probably have been shipped with cromwell3.0.3 on it from the supplier ,which is of no use to u.
May as well put another copy of 1959 there then u have a full compliment of banks to boot up the x3 (just in case)
