Correct me if I'm wrong but with it being a slim dvd the PCB is locked and will not affected by any live updates, and never worry about game updates as they are all ok.
Yes you are wrong it is still possible to detect the firmware so all drives should be flashed back to stock before any dash update. Game updates are fine.

How is it possible for them to detect the firmware? (Serious question). If they could detect then why haven't they just banned. Especially if the SPI is locked. And again, not arguing just curious. I know it's always recommended to go back to stock.
Well if it wasnt possible there would never be any need to flash back to stock and being as this is the recommendation then it must be possible. But to be fare we will probably never know for sure unless someone infiltrates MS.
