Flashed the X3 3294 bios ... but need more input

Flashed the X3 3294 to 1mb bank 1234 (on on off off)

Now i want to run the Slayer Autoinstaller and everyone is telling me that i need to install another bios (m8.bin) because the x3 3294.bin is just the OS of the x3 chip.

If this is the case what bank do I need to flash the 256k bios to ??

Also, is this necessary? I can't find anybody to give me help on my X3 CE that has used the Slayer evox Autoinstaller.

Please advise.

whoever told you that you need to install another bios is talking rubbish. 3294 is not just the OS, it's a fully featured bios that can do everything the evox m8 bios can do plus a whole lot more.

slayers will boot just fine from 3294. you do not need to flash m8.

I've installed the slayer but it doesn't seem to be booting to the dash with full item functionality.

that's it. the slayer instructions show that it should be looking alot different than it does. i am obviously doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what (followed the instructions to a "T").

i flashed the 3294 bios to the 1mb bank 1234 (on on off off) like the x3 instructions said. I then left the dipswitches the way they are and inserted the slayer autoinstaller. Followed the slayer guide to install apps and format new drive. Am i supposed to change the switches or something?

There is no need for the slayers install stuff.

The X3 will do everything except for putting the software on the xbox.

Find out what dashboard you want to use and what apps you want to use on your xbox then ftp them to the F drive.

The tell the X3 to look for the dashboard on the F drive and boom your up and running.
