I began flashing the xbox by http, and the xbox said it was flashing, then just shut down. I think the flash protect may have been enabled, and I know that's a no no. Anyway, when I try to turn it back on i get 2 start ups then a FRAG. Did I destroy something here?

i say you flash the wrong bios to chip
x3 3294 for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x3 3294 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xboxs
try power eject at sametime to get backup
or try off on off off off on switch board to get flashbios then remember to change the switch back to on on off off off before you flash the chip

If the HTTP doesn't work try putting the x3 3294 on a disc if all else fails.

What version Xbox do you have? Can you boot from the backup BIOS?

Looks like he has a v1.0 so he should be using x3 3294

Sorry, got a wii and got distracted by Zelda. Anyway, I've tried to flash it with a couple different things, but every time the flash fails. It's not a 1.0, I'd say it's a 1.3, but that's just from a quick look at the dO points. Is there any way I can just clear the chip and put in that X3 3294 or whatever? Also, I've got a preloaded HDD in there. Is that a problem

You can clear the chip with x3 eeprom erase. It will erase any bios you have on your chip and it won't effect your hard drive. You can get it from xbins under the apps section I believe.

No, it doesn't.

I really wish you wouldn't post unless you know what you're talking about.

X3 Erase will clear the EEPROM - it doesn't touch any of the BIOSes on the chip. Please think before posting!

Ok, soooo the EEprom thing is out, which is kinda what I thought, but I still can't figure out how to flash this mofo. I was thinking that a HDD that had EvoX on it might be a problem. Do you think it would help to try flashing X3 3294 using the original HDD and then using the hard drive wizard to be able to use the preloaded one later?
