HITACHI 79 Flashed to original firmware and now drive won't open/close

So I was updating my friends Hitachi 79 firmware and I did everything according to the tutorial. Jungle flasher checked out and it said everything was fine. All the drives were reading as they should and all the firmware was reading as LT 1.91. I took it to the 360 to test it and the 360 wouldn't open or close the tray. Took it back to my computer and I could open/close the tray through my computer. So I reflashed it to stock firmware and tried it over again and now everything is...for lack of a better word...wack. Drive still won't open on the 360 and when plugged into the computer and jungle flasher the drive reads and it tells me its a Hitachi 78/79. But when I try to do anything, including Send Mode-B it comes back saying there is no Hitachi drive connected, even though it shows up as drive E for me. Then I try to dump firmware and it says "Drive rev undetermined, Aborting!". Which I find weird because Jungle Flasher just told me that a Hitachi 78/79 is detected. I've tried everything I could think of and haven't found anything on the forum, or any google, related to my problem. If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears. Please and thank you.

ok, lets see when you said it cant eject, this happens while ejecting on the Dashboard or when you press the eject button? if so make sure the SATA cable is correctly connected...

Eject signal is sent via the power cable so sata cable won't be the problem I don't think.

What chipset do you have?
Can you psot your JF log

It fails to eject from the dashboard, selecting eject on the menu, pressing X, or pressing the button on the 360. It tries, it says opening, but then nothing happens. I've done 4 liteon drives already and this is the first time I've worked on a hitachi. My set up with JF shouldn't be the problem. I'm no expert but I was leaning towards me messing up with the firmware(which is odd because jf automatically picks the firmware for you when you use the hitachi tab) or something.
Drive E is what it used to be labeled before it started acting all goofy, and what its labeled now that it is/isn't a hitachi drive
