Flashed to X3 1959 BIOS, now no lights on ext. switch

Hello all,

After successfully installing my X3 on my 1.6 Xbox (pinheader install w/ PCB LPC rebuild), I flashed the BIOS with the X3 1959_v16plus BIOS via HTTP according to the TeamXecuter HTTP FlashBIOS tutorial. Success! Everything went very smoothly, and I rebooted the Xbox to see the "Executer Rox My Box" logo on the bootup screen. I then launched the X3 Live config menu, had a look at all of the various settings and options, enabled networking, then selected "reboot to (dashboard? can't recall...)".

Life was grand until I realized that upon rebooting, there were no lights at all on the external switch (no LEDs, no HDD or LAN activity lights, nothing), and all that I could boot is the original MS bios. A short press or a long press on the power button brings up the original MS bios, and pressing the power+eject buttons at the same time does nothing at all. Holding down the white button while booting gets me nowhere.

It's as if the chip ceased to exist after flashing to 1959. What have I done here? Any thoughts on this?

Thanks....

Ok, I'll have a look at that after work today.

Damn, I really didn't want to have to take the Xbox apart again.

Thanks, I'll give the switch another look as well. Maybe it came loose when reinstalling the drives or reassembling the Xbox...

Spiritus Xbox

Hello all. After a friend of mine got his drive flashed awhile back, I've been very curious about modding, and I've been reading up on all kinds of stuff non-stop for the last few weeks. I'm trying to work out how I'm going to mod my case, and as of right now I've decided on a Boondock Saints theme. I probably won't be able to start this for a few weeks, but I want to have everything planned out ahead of time.

Here's what I want to cut for a window:

I can't decide how exactly I want to do it though, and how much detail. Here are a few crude models I made up quick to show what I mean.

I plan on painting the case flat black and putting amber leds inside. Also I'm not cutting the cross out completely, it was just easier to that then to outline it again. Any thoughts on which you prefer?

very interesting mod idea! i think the left cut would look more professional, plus the leds will really highlight the cuts! good luck and I look forward to seeing the final mod. and be careful, modding can get addictive!

That's gonna look bad ass just the way you are planning on doing it. That's a lot of cutting especiialy lettering. What program did you use for that rendering...CAD maybe? Looks good

Thats going to be some work, might wana look into
CNC or WaterJet to get those letters done. Would love
to see that done.

Re: Spiritus Xbox

Ok, so I finally got some time to work on it. Between last night and this afternoon I replaced all the green led's with blue ones, both on my box and one controller. Not as hard as I thought it would be. Anyways heres what it looks like now. Sadly I'm taking some summer classes so I won't be able to work on it much till the end of June :(.

The blue is actually a bit deeper, it just came out that way on camera.
