I've done plenty of reading and I can't seem to figure this out. I made a DVDr with bios M8 v16 and burned it to disc with 100mb dummy file (yes I named bios Bios.bin and followed the guide perfectly) I booted up xbox with the X3 chip installed correctly. It came up with Flashbios 3.0.0 screen. I selected load bios from disc, put in disc and cloesed drive (all dipswitches set to off or left) and it flashed. Bios is 256k, so those were the correct dip settings right? Now xbox boots and frags like it can't find bios. How can I try to reflash, or at least get back to Flash bios screen to try another bios? Please help.....

Use one of the following dip switch settings to flash...

"256k Bank
Bank 1: on on on on
Bank 2: off on on on
Bank 3: on off on on
Bank 4: off off on on
Bank 5: on on off on
Bank 6: off on off on
Bank 7: on off off on
Bank 8: off off off on

You should read the X3 noob guide on the main page: http://home.comcast.net/~x3guide/

Your problem is that you tried to flash a 256K bios into a 2048K space.

Also press the eject & the power button @ the same time.
You will then get the flash bios.

Good luck!!

Ummm... nope, wrong answer. If you set the switches to all off, the bios will simply populate the space it needs (starting from bank 1). This is actually the proper way to do an initial flash for an X3.

What I can't understand is why anyone would want to put M8 on an X3. That bios makes the X3 as useful as a X2.6...

Re: Iprep issues

yes you can there only to way to do it mra hack or xecuter LT switch and there is a LT probe v2 solderless add-on for the ck3 coming out soon

read the jf guide it will tell you the mra hack and xecuter LT switch

if i was you i would wait for the LT probe v2 solderless add-on if you have a ck3 if not do it with the xecuter LT switch.
