Just flashed my X3 in a 1.6 box and now it reboots twice, then frags. Power an d Eject get me into the backup flash. Tried X3_3294 first, then X3_2914, then X3_1959. Same results each time.

Which bios do I need to get? I read something in the posts about a _v16plus bios, but can't seem to find that for X3. I see X3_3294 v16plus.bin but that didn't work either. I'm going to try and resolder 13 and 14 like other say. But I'm confused on all the Bios stuff.

X3_3294 v16plus.bin, that file should work since its for Xbox 1.6. Try that, make sure it flashes cleanly with that file, don't mix it up with the others and check that the switches are correct. If you get a blank screen without frag then resolder pin 13+14.

The rest of the bioses you tried are not for 1.6.

Ok, I'll try that again. Now, If I flash one of those other bios's to the first bank (11000), when I go to flash the new one v16, it'll just overwrite the other, no harm done?

That X3_v16plus.bin file is located in a strange place on xbins, bios/xecuter/Xecuter3/Multi Version/ correct?

Thanks for your help

Hey I am having same prob, I have a 1.6... I was running build 1959 and today i flashed it to 3294... I should have flashed it to v16 but did not for whatever reasons unknown... anyways my build 1959 works EXCELLENT.. and the flash went along great, everything looked as it should! now i get the double restart deal.. (green light goes on, then of, then on then off) then it comes back up with FRAG! I have tried from what i can tell every possible combination to get to the back up build, but nothing works, i cannot get to a screen what so ever to try and flash my bios again, everything i try leads me to just a blank screen! I dont think this could be my solder points because they all worked prior! please help me with suggestions or solutions from anyone with this problem

Try the backup bios. Press power and eject at the same time when turning on your xbox...
the X logo should turn purple...
