Been done installing chips for a while. Did a 2.6 chip for a friend on a 1.6(b) box. Had to rebuild the points using the adapter... anyhow after finally getting that to work we turned on the Xbox and the bios screen wouldn't load. The LED would stay green for a bit, then after like 20 seconds turn solid yellow (or orange depending on how you look at it) and did nothing... No A/V on the screen/speakers. I read in a forum that the flashed bios on the chip just isn't loading right.
My question. Can I just take his chip out and flash it using Evox in my Xbox with the 5035? What is the deal with this config file? Do you just use that in conjunction with the configuration program to edit the bios before uploading it? Can I just upload the default x2_5035_v16plus_512k file and be done with the system?
