Hello,

I've decided to flash my Xbox360, because I have no more Warranty and it is my only console which isn't modded or flashed.
I watched many How-To's and read guides in this forums. Now I know nearly everything I need, but I want to make it sure.
My goal is it to flash my Xbox360 and play AP2.5 games and older. I'll do the following steps:

1.Buying a Xecuter Blaster CK3 / CK3 Pro (I'm not sure yet).
2.Disassembling my Xbox(No problem...)
3.Using this guide to flash my Liteon drive to iXtreme 1.51 http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51961
4. Update to LT+ http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58200
5. Burning games on DVDs for testing.(Will RWs from Verbatim/Philips work?)

Am I missing some steps? And can i skip the third step? These two firmwares are confusing me:rolleyes:.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

You'll need a probe to read the dvd key. If you have a serial port, then you don't need the pro - you can use the ck3 lite.

You also don't need to flash to Ixtreme, you can flash straight to LT+.

You may also need a SATA add-in card if your onboard ones have trouble detecting the drive - I used onboard without a hitch (Intel-based).

I'll try my SATA onboard at first. And I think I get the Blaster CK3, because there is erverything I need.
Anyway, I still don't know if I can use my Philips RWs (or Verbatim) after hours of googling...

verbatims will work. For xgd3, only verbatims will work. For xgd2 pretty much any dvd dl works.

This is a list of xgd3 games http://www.ixtreme.net/open-forum/13119-xgd3-xbox-game-disc-3-current-games-list.html

By process of elimination, if a game is not on there, it is xgd2 or below.

if your doing a pmt to get your key you will need to add a switch on the 3.3v of the blaster.

i personally would just buy the usbpro ck3i and probe. it is way easier to use and if you go to flash anymore you will have what you need, I got a blaster first because i thought the same as you with intent to just flash that xbox and be done but really opening the xbox is so easy and i ended up getting a couple broken ones to fix and play around with and got a slim so ended up in the long run getting usbpro and ck3i money well spent.

hi i wanna flash Liteon 74850C im gonna connect the sata cable to a desk top pc but pc does not have a free sata port ,could i connect it to dvd drive's sata port ?thanx from now

Mate are you kidding?! Really?!

Modmonster and myself have just told you to stop thread hijacking and to start your own thread when you posted here: http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?p=500847#post500847

Now you go and do it again? Start your won thread!

Il answer your questions. If you mean can you unplug the DVD from your PC and use that SATA port then yes you can TRY this but it may not be compatable with the Xbox drives!

thnx for life saving great answer by the way i dont even know what tread hijacking means u make me feel like i have killed someone ;)

Ha ha nah youve not killed someone.

Just thread hijacking is when you start your own question in someone elses thread. Its very rude and also means you take the attention away from the original poster meaning that they may not get the help they need. This can also become confusing for people when trying to answer 2 peoples queries in one post.

So instead you have to create your own thread and ask your own questions. You just go in to the section you want to post in, example firmware support, then instead of choosing a thread that someone else has created, you click the button that says New Thread.

Then you have your own original thread that people will be able to help you with.

My discs seem fine regardless of wave on Lite-On drives, only prob i have is hitachi 78 LT2.0 not booting XGD3 with dash 13604 regardless of disc.

May also depend on what drive you use tho, and personal preference. I always try and use verbs as never had a coaster.

To OP Lite-On's are the second easiest drive to flash in my experiance lol, if you need any help tho just drop me a message but all should be well if the tut is followed.
