Hi all, I am a long term Xbox 360 PHAT flasher, and I am able to flash them and mod them with no issues! But recently, my PHAT console got the RRoD for the 100th time, so I felt it was time to move on to flashing my Slim. I learned that mine is a 9504 drive (now the 0272 due to dash updates) and I wanted to get to work ASAP, so I fried my board with the Kamikaze method :facepalm: (it is a WINBOND chip) I already extracted the key and everything so I have no issues in getting a replacement. I need help deciding whether or not to get the TX Unlocked PCB for the DG-16D4S with the lock/unlock switch, or buying a factory unlocked PCB elsewhere for $20 cheaper. If I was to buy the factory unlocked one and I write to it, I know i would have to re-lock the board before using it. But what if I have to update later down the road and need to unlock the board to flash to stock or update the Lt+ firmware? Will I ever have to do this? Would I have to risk the Kamikaze method again and repeat my failure?? I just need help deciding if it's worth paying extra for the TX version simply due to the lock/unlock switch, or if it really isnt needed.. Thanks!

I was just looking for advice from people with experience on which I should get. Should I get the TX model from XConsoles?

tell you what if you want to be cheap buy the other one if you want help installing and help flashing the pcb and such like buy the tx pcb . Help will only be given to people that buy tx products. So I would recomend you get your fist out of your pocket and buy the correct pcb for the job the one that is higher quality and that you will recieve help with installing
