FIXED Flashing a stock Benq on dash 15574 gives key of 777777

This will be my 10th drive I've flashed before and I've never run into this. I updated the phat xbox to dash 15574 first and then I've loaded the benq drive into the latest jungleflasher 0.1.92

Everything loads up correctly until I decide to read the drive. The key reads all 7's. After searching extensively I hear that it means jungleflasher is reading the wrong place for the key. Did the most recent update move where the key was? And if so, how do I redirect jungleflasher to read the key?
I'm using the USBPRO to connect. Any thoughts on this? This is a fairly new drive and I know for a fact this device has not been pre modded. It plays like you just took it out of the box.

I will when I get home. Sorry.. full day of crap to do first. I thought this might be one of those "did you try unplugging and plugging it back in" issues.

This is almost surely not the case. The ONLY time i've seen JF having trouble parsing fw for a key was when someone takes the 13146 update with old ixtreme fw (meaning like 1.6) on their drive.

So its 99.9999% not JF's fault. Its more likely that someone tried to flash this before you, and didn't copy the key over. Or that you flashed it without reading the key....

Well it's not flashed yet, I only did the read process, and the device works fine with my retail discs so the key is correct and there somewhere. I'll get the log on by the end of the day. I took the warranty stickers off myself. I was just wondering if the new dash update actually moved the keys or something.

no, the key was not moved. the area surrounding the key was changed though. Jf 1.92 has no problem parsing valid fw. if you have a corrupted fw, then it could have issues.

I don't know if this helps at all but this is the screen I had this morning. Afterwards, I put in my retail game and it played properly.

What in the world type of fw is that?

It must have some strange, third party modded fw on there.

Definitely upload your fw dump, Martin C or I can parse it manually.

EDIT: thanks frayed, i'm a n00b :p

I will upload the OFW dump the second I get home (6PM EST). Seriously thank you very much I am completely stuck.. and once again.. I took the warranty stickers off the xbox myself... this is practically brand new from the box.

Ok there it is. I had to zip the file because OFW's aren't allowed to be uploaded? The log is also included in the file unless you'd like me to just paste it into this window. Once again I can't thank everyone enough. I stopped the flash process at the read point because obviously if I have a bad/corrupt key I'm not going to carry on with the flash.

JF is looking in exactly the right place.

0800 should not be used in a console, nor do consoles ship with it.

So what does this mean? I have never (nor has anyone else) flashed this device before.

Mistaken is a distinct possibility, and I seriously apologize if I am. I'm not one to ever post because I pride myself in usually being able to find the answer. So do I stand a chance at getting that key?

Nope.

If thats whats on the drive, then you cant recover the key.

However, this means it's not playing retail games, as you previously claimed.
