it would be helpful if posted what you were doing wrong and what you did to fix it...even if it does make you look stupid..it can help others
I was modding the wrong drive. I have 5 in front of me and some work and some don't. I thought I clearly marked the correct one and obviously I'm an idiot. The one from my newest box did work and does and was flashed properly. I have little kids and they tend to destroy stuff and spill stuff and put pancakes in stuff so I replace xboxs a LOT. Seriously thank you all for helping and my face couldn't be redder right now. It's seriously nice to know the community out there is this nice and helpful.
