flashing bios day 2, please someone help me...

I finally got it to stop freezing 1/4 into the flash. It finishes, turns the xbox off, when i turn it on i get nothing, no picture. I have to use safe mode to get it to go back to the flashbios screen. My dips are set to on on off off off. version 1.0-1.5 xbox and executor 3. I'm using the 1959 file. Can someone please pelase please help me out here.

check your soldering, sounds like the extra pins for the config live are not connected properly, flash an X2 bios to some extra banks and boot from that to see if it loads.

If it loads from the x2 bios it's a soldering problem

Mine did the same thing. I found that depending on you xbox version, you should ues a certain flash bios to get the X3 bios to work.

Ver 1.6 use Flash Bios 3.0.1 (in the 1st 1MB bank)
Ver 1.6b use 3.0.3 (in the 2nd 1MB bank)

Also make sure you use the correct X3_1959 file. X3_1959 v16plus.bin for 1.6 and 1.6b. mine is a 1.6 and when this happened to me, i went through my bank switches until i got a Flash bios to come up. Then i switched to the 1 MB bank that failed before while the xbox remained on. Then i just did the reflash through a network and TADA! it worked flawlessly.

BTW when it did the 25% thing my box would frag when i would try to boot from this bank. i got on IRC and some ideot told me that my chip was fried, get another one. I came here and with some searching all my problems were solved. This is a great forum and you can find plenty of answers here.
