Flashing bios with PC

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to install flashbios on on an X3 modchip by using a PC directly. What would I need to get (I want to do it the same way that the retailers install the flashbios versions)

I think I might have , I left all the switches on the front as off.. does that mean its ******

I don't think you have screwed your x3 yet. Set your switches to on on off off off then press power and eject buttons at the same time until your x3 cp turns purple and you should see flashbios. Then flash and you should be ok.

Make sure to flash the bios for your xbox version

FYI: If you dont have the external switch plugged in (Off Off Off Off Off), the X3 will assume that you want the 1234 bank (On On Off Off Off). So changing it from all Off to the 1234 bank will not fix anything... or at least I dont think it will.

And I dont quite get your question, if you explain it better maybe I can help... I usally pretty godd with BIOS problems.

are you saying you got your switches to on on off off off and then press power and eject buttons at the same time and no flashbios comes up? It should be there since it's the backup bios. if you have an X3CE, you might try setting switches to off on off off off.

Its the 1.6b and I am still having the same problems... Further more I thought I would just buy another one and start again but the guys I have tried to buy it off have ripped me off taken my money and havent sent anything to me for months... Aussies dont trust www.xecuter.com.au

I'm not sure if there has been a programmer release for the X3 yet or not but I bought this xbox and havent used it for 3 months because I havent had any luck getting this X3 going. Is there anyone out there who knows a reliable company in Australia where I can pick up another X3 Chip from?
