Flashing completes, but where are my bios?

Ok, so let me start off by sorry if this is posted in here somewhere, but i dont have a month to go through it all. I have a 1.1 xbox and an X3 chip. I didnt really research bios because for some stupid reason, I thought the chip would be included with something. So I flashed on like every possible switch combination (bank or whatever) that I could, probably with the wrong bios, also, on a cdr if that makes a difference. So then my xbox wouldnt boot up with the quick tap power button, but ive been starting it the backup way with the power and eject buttons. I did eventually get the flashing bar to signify a complete job, but then it shuts off and there is nothing on my HDD, so where are the bios? Do I need some kind of programmer? Does the x3 even need that? And if a drive can read CD-RW, cant it read CD-r as well, if it makes a difference I have a samsung drive. Also, Ive checked all my solder points like 20 times. thanks for helping me figure this crap out.

just because your xbox can read cdrw doesnt mean that it can read cdr.

you need to do some reading about which banks to select. and make sure you are flashing the x3 bios.

I know my Xbox can read off of a cdr, otherwise it wouldnt flash. my problem is that, after i flash it, I dont know how to access it, because my quick press frags. I checked pins 13 and 14 and I checked my DO. I thought that maybe it was my HDD solder point, but then you'd think that if that point was bad, my HDD LED on the X3 switch wouldnt light up. Im new at this, so I dont know, do I new to install a dash or somthing, and how can if I cant see a change in the bios? it just goes back to the flashbios-blue screen, and thats only after I've started it with both buttons. thanx for replying.

its not like he was helping anyway, he never helps people, just insults them and tells them to read the same crap over and over again. I dont even know why he bothers to monitor and reply to all of this sh*t. If he want people to focus on the faq then why does he have to have a forum in the first place?

come on you didnt read anything. you even admit to that in your first post.

I do help - i.e. i actually write these tutorials for you to READ but when someone is lazy then i can be lazy too.

this is the screen you get - it gives you the website URL to look at - it shows lots of pictures and tutorials. if you get frag you did it wrong its as simple as that. your mod is working and installed ok cus you boot to backup - your mistake is that you are not following the tutorial.

no one is at fault except yourself im afraid

and it wasnt an FAQ - I wanted you to focus on these points....

1) SEARCH before posting. 99.9% of the time your answers are here in the forums - usually in the easy to find stickies too. If you are too lazy to search then dont be surprised if people are too lazy to help you.
2) First time posters - you are the worst. You come here. make one post asking for help when the answer is in front of you. You make up for 80% of the traffic on the forums and it kills the website. It bogs the forums down with a lot of crap and stops people who do have a read from finding their info fast. Please use the search button and read other peoples posts before posting yourself. We personally hate it when someone says "my xbox turns off then on then off then on and frlashes red and green eject button - what is that?" - this is a pet hate for everyone i'd imagine - it proves to everyone you didnt read or search ANYTHING - so PLEASE do so - thanks.
4) Read ALL tutorials. We have tutorials for a reason. To help you and to tell how to do it correctly. If you don't follow the tutorials then it is no surprise if you have problems. If there is something you can't find help on in these forums then please ask nicely. If you make posts saying its not working screw you d**ks for f***ing my xbox up - that isn't going to get much of a response from us and dont be offended if a few of our forum members tell you to f**k off in the process.
As you can see all 3 apply directly to you. Thats why I gave you that link. These points only apply to people who do not read tutorials and then whine when we tell them to read.

Okay, I have read the tutorials and done everything correctly. After i flash and my box turns off automatically and i turn it back on it goes back to the FlashBIOS screen. The Xbox load with the "Xectuter rox my box" never comes up. Do i need to get a dashboard first or what?

some people really don't realise the work that goes into producing the information in the tutorials and then just bitch when they get slated for not reading them. I had problems with my first install and had to read the tutorials after being given the links. Now i've done more installs because I now know the info cause i took time to learn it. If you don't understand something would you really buy it blindly, would you go into a car shop and just buy a car without knowing how to drive. Of course you wouldn't so why should this be any different. Read the TUTS, learn all you can thats the best part off all of this, having the knowledge to carry out killer mods, getting the satisfaction from seeing it work. so just get on with it

Okay, now that ive figured out the right x3 bios to flash and i get that up and running. (not to mention that i feel like a moron flashing the already flashed chip) When i try to disable the mod and boot the original dash, i get a frag. It says "05 Contact customer service" then about 15 other languages. Any clue to what i did wrong?

kinda helps if you searched for what error 5 is

http://www.teamxecuter.com/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=21379

5 - kernel - HDD not locked (retail bioses require the hd to be locked)
now guess what.....lock your hard drive ;)

Yea thats what I meant. Ive transfered every single EvoX file I could find in xbins to my cpu and I cant find a .xbe file. They are all .bins. Am I looking in the wrong spot?

yo, i'm having the same problem as you, i flashed the x3bios it completes and shuts off, i turn it back on and it goes straight to the blue screen. am i supposed to "hold the white button" to get to the set up menue? Ha, this sh*t is insane crazy how you figure this sh*t out. i have the dashboard evolutionx_build 3935.rar, can i make a boot disk with it? i've tried intensly to get it to boot off a disk, always resulting in the blue screen only. I'm not to sure how to link up my comp to box with the FTP, should i do my reading because that's the only way or is there a way to boot from a disk with the dashboard evox on it. hmmmm.... this forum has been pretty helpful to know i'm not the only one this stupid. thanks for your time!
