Flashing Dashboard on X3?!

Ok so my question is there's 4 switches on the X3 that allow you to switch from which Dashboard you want...is that correct? If it is then can you put lets say for example Avaluanch in some .bin file form, burn it to a cd (like FlashBIOS) and flash it to one of the 4 banks? OR is the Dashboard supposed to be installed on the Xbox hard-drive? I'm confused about this becuase everything i've read involves the use of an FTP and sending file over to the hard-drive. I just wanna know how i can put the .xbe avalaunch file onto my X3.

er, no, the dashboard goes onto the hardrive, think of it like you operating system, the bios banks are for the bios, that's it.

oh okay im getting the idea. So what exactly are these switches meant for? I know it's BIOS. But what the big deal about it? If you want the latest version of the X3 Bios then why have them there. I thought you cuold switch between the dashboards using te switches.

yeah they are just optional, some people like the have different bios versions on different banks, or different bioses (e.g. Evox M8 bios) and switch between them using the dip switches.

What you can do with dashboards is assign different quick launch/ hot keys to em in X3CL so you can boot to different dashboards on startup depending on what button you hold down durng bootup.
