Can anyone point me to a guide specifically for DG-16D4S drives where rgh has to be used to recover the dvd key, i've got a couple of rgh'ed systems here but want to install the replacement PCB's and can only find guides based on reading the key from the drive not using the info pulled from the KV , any help would be greatly appreciated

Leaving them as rgh just wanted to add the functionality of being able to read backups instead of having to FTP games over

Ok, you will have to do two things.

1. you will need to prepare every NAND with the "no fcrt.bin" patch enabled.
2. you will have to use the writekey function in JF in order to write the key to slim fw

alternatively, you can post the dvd keys here and i or someone else will make them for you

Is it not viable to spoof the key manually into the LTU_0401 CFW ? , if not i shall look into the writekey in JF while i wait for the boards to arrive as i'd like to learn to do it myself purely for the satisfaction :) , and i shall make up new nands with the nofcrt patches

Even if you could spoof to fw, it wouldn't work.

Non-9504 OSIG slims require more than just the drive key.

Also, the only fw that contains the writekey sector (without a bit of work, that is) is 9504.

Just follow the lizfix tutorial for info on how to writekey.
