I Was Having Major Problems With Flashing My Chip. First Prob Was That My Flashprotect Was On Even Though I Follow The Colors Listed On The Chip. They Are Wrong!!!! Not On Everychip That I Have Installed Just This One!!! Just Make Sure That When Flashbios First Pops Up That It Doesnt Say Read Only?????? It Actualy Says What Bios Is Loaded. This Way You Know You Are Ready To Flash.
Secondly When I Flashed Via Http With 3.0.1 It Erased Then Started To Flash And Stopped About 25% Thru Flashing. I Was Flashing 5678 1 Meg. It Did Not Work And Would Not Boot Just Turned On And Off Three Times And Then Off Permanitly On The Third.
I Tried Again Knowing That I Had A Good Bios And Good Flash Prog For My Box 1.6 Using 3.0.1 I Flashed Again But To 1234 Slot And The Same Exact Thing Happened. I Was Very Upset. Hoping That My Backup Was Still Good.
I Didnt Even Need The Backup I Noticed That A Random Four Of My 256 Spots Did Not Get Erased So I Thought That Was Wierd They Should Have Been. They Still Had 3.0.1 On Some And 3.0.3 On Others.
I Dissconnected My Switches And All Wiring Connectors Reconnected Them Pushing In Firmly And Loaded 3.0.1 Via An Unerased 256 And Then Switched To My 1meg 5678 Slot And Tried Again.
