Hi All,

Just opened the 360 and about to flash it using the Maximus - Garyopa XTRM-HITACHI v2.3 Stealth Rev2 firmware. This is my first time flashing so I want to make sure everything is ok. I will connect the 360 drive to the PC using the sata cable. Put the drive in Mode B using slax. Then run 360 Firmware Toolbox and flash it. Is this ok or is there a better and safer way to flash. Also this firmware will not ban me from Live correct? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't realized you need to buy the Connectivity Kit. Couldn't you use the slax or the 1k resistor method instead?

I see. I will try the slax method. Also, if I do a bad flash, can I brick the drive and therefore make it unusable? And if that's the case, can I reflash it to its original firmware?

you can mess it up so bad that its bricked but on the hit most of the time someone can get the key off of the chip.(if you can find them)

Hey cofree, I know I asked you already, but is there any way to minimize the risk of being ban from Live? Like I said, I flashed my Hitachi 59 drive using the Maximus - Garyopa XTRM-HITACHI v2.3 Stealth Rev2 firmware. Now if I connect on Live and play a burned game, would I get ban? Or is the firmware already in stealth mode and I should be fine. Also is burning a disc incorrectly related to being ban? Thanks in advance.

i think the best firmware for the hit drives(not v78) is the ixtreme hit v1.2 rev2
yes you need to be sure your dumps and your backup burns are done right

If you use "Maximus - Garyopa XTRM-HITACHI v2.3 Stealth Rev2" you will eventually get banned if you connect to Live. You need to use "C4EVA iXTRM-HITACHI v1.2 Stealth" it is the only Hitachi online safe firmware out that works.
