Flashing issue

This is infact my first post but saw no where else to introduce. I decided to join due to my constant use of information off this site anyways. So, of course, I'm having a issue. I've browsed and seen similar issues as myn, however, I do have the important question near the end of this post. I have flashed a Hitachi 79 before. I'm now trying to flash a Hitachi 47 on a brand new PC using onboard SATA. For some reason, I can't get the latest jungleflasher to see my DVD drive. The BIOS sees the drive and I also tried to obtain mode b with Slack 2.1 with no luck. I got the log in screen but never a "spinning up disk" no matter how I timed the power up. I do have RAID/ACHI disabled, driver signature enforcement off, and plugged into SATA 0. So here's the important question. The two wire trick? Will it fix my problems or should I just spend the $10 on PCI SATA for 360? The only thing is will that support Window 7 x64?

Two wire trick = fail. That's older than me, and much more dangerous than me ;).

In your jf log, is portio64 installed?

Did you tick "include non-ide ports" in jf?

If spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

Thanks for the reply mod. I was sorta leanin that way with the two wire trick. Sounds very risky and careless. I did not have that box checked at first so I tried again with no success. I guess the only thing really left it could be is chipset compatibility. So I went ahead and order my SATA PCI for Xbox 360.

Edit: Oh, & yes. portio64 is showing up in the log.
Edit2: I just don't understand how it could be compatibility on a brand new PC. It's still SATA.. Right?

Not all chipsets are compatible with flashing. For example sil and jmicron are rather poor.
