ANSWERED Flashing Lite-On DG-165S

I was considering flashing my Lite-On DG-165S drive and I have been doing a lot of research and my question really isn't about the process of flashing. I would just like to know if I would be able to play on Xbox Live once I had flashed my drive? And secondly, would I be able to play on Live with my back-ups or only with the original discs? Thanks.

It should be fine to play your legal backups on XBOX Live, but 100% safety can not be guaranteed with custom firmware.

However, there have been no reports of bans from people using custom drive firmware.
