Re: Is my hitachi 47D bricked ?

Surely I can't without it being recognised in windows? Jungleflasher won't go any further..

Re: Is my hitachi 47D bricked ?

have you tried, or are you just making an assumption that j/f won't go any further?

and it may only show ONE of the options listed in the textbook tutorial under mode b properties... like if you close it and it opens back up automatically then its good

pretty much just go back into jungleflasher and send mode b. if it says done then just go onto reading the drive. just reading wont mess your driv up at all, its the erasing and writing part that'll brick your drive if it messes up there...

Re: Is my hitachi 47D bricked ?

oh, and btw, i had problems trying to flash my older hitachis in j/f too...

what i did was get it into mode b in j/f and then went with the firmware toolbox method of flashing.

so send mode b in j/f then close out. open f/wtoolbox and insert a dvd into your 360. if its actually connected to your computer and in mode b then it should pop up an autorun when you put a movie dvd into your 360...

then go to gdr dump in the tools menu of f/w toolbox and dump your drive that way. follow textbooks tutorial on how to flash this way and you'll be good, but pretty much you need to make the new ix file with the dump (which can be done in jungleflasher too) and go to flash patch or differential patch or someting like that back in f/w toolbox.

from there you just write to the drive. i do wanna let you know though when i did it it gave me some error messages about the last 4 sectors or so but i just hit ignore and have been playing wave 3 games on them for a month or two now...

good luck
