Hi everyone,

I'm going to have to flash a Samsung MS28 drive soon, and i was wondering if any of you guys can tel me if my onboard chipset should work or if i really need get out there and buy that VIA 6421L pci card.

As you can see in the topic title i've got a motherboard with a VIA VT8237 Sata controller, so does anyone have any experience with this chipset, or can anyone tell right away that it wont work?

(BTW: The motherboard is an Asus A8V Deluxe)

Thanks in advance.

And ofcourse i've ran into a few problems now;

for some reason i get a "Drive not ready" error while trying to make a USB boot drive.
I can press Try Again until the end of time, doesn't work, if i press Cancel or Continue, Xtreme BootMaker finishes the job, however when i try to boot from the usb stick it just stays at a blinking "_" doing nothing. :(

I've kinda given up on the usb stick now (or do you guys know a solution?) so i was wondering if the Bad Flash Method, works while flashing from an NTFS4DOS CD??

Any help is appreciated :wink:
