Flashing my X3

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to xbox, only chipped it yesterday!

I have xbox v1.0 and Xecuter 3 CE

Trying to flash the BIOS over HTTP plugged into our netgear router.

Followed the teamxecuter turorial all the way through and it appears to work perfectly. It picks up an IP address via DHCP and i can access it via IE.

I flashed it with both v301 and v303 files and they appear to flash without any trouble. The bar goes completely green and the box switches off!

When i switch back on it goes straight into the flash BIOS screen again and not the xecuter xbox logo screen.

I have the front panel installed and have the switches set to "on on off off off" as advised in the tutorial.

A friend of mine tells me he has v1959 working well, is there any chance someone still has this as i cant seem to find the file? A link would be excellent!

Also, could anybody explain what the two "banks" are all about, i seem to have bank 1234 and nothing that immediately appears to be bank 5678

edit - Have read the sticky above bank settings, however the switches on the front dont look anything like any of the diagrams listed.

u do realise that v301 and v303 are just to different flashbios types. u need 2 flash sumit like x3_1959 onto the box, put it on the usual settings. u can find x3_1959 from the 'usual places'. i did the same thing and then realised. try that it shud help u out

Aaaaah thanks, makes a bit more sense now, was confused as to the difference between 1959 and v303 etc.


Now i just have to work out where the "usual places" are lol.

I gotta say guys, this is getting a bit insulting.

I am a computer student, im not a noob, i have been building computers and servers and sh*t for a long time, just new to Xbox's.

I said i wasnt the best, i am also very grateful on the helpful response i recieved, and the PM from a certain member for the 1959 file, we couldnt find anything that distinguished between this and the v303 file or whatever on google etc.

I am a senior member on a few computer forums, and esp a BitTorrent site, and if anybody posted such a polite precise post, expressing of their status, i would never dream of taking the piss. Dont forget you were all noobs at one point... or were you all born a genius ?

Im replying to this sh*t post in particular, well sorry for not being amazing. I hate flying off the handle for one thing, but that took the piss.

I hope to you all that you never have to answer such a simple Q again, and that life is sweet for you. I am just waiting for the day you ask a Q in one of the forums i help out in (hardware, security and BitTorrent etc etc).
