Flashing Orange Green once then flashing green

From power on - I get the blue LED to show xecuter 3 is enabled but no AV and flashing orange/green once and then flashes green 6 or sometimes 8 times and then sits on solid green. No video or audio. Boots up to MS Dash no problems when disabled. Same happens when booting from 256k.

Checked solder points all looked clean - best job I ever did! Resoldered just to make sure (twice) now not quite as clean but looks OK.

This is a customer job - he already tried to fit the 2.3 lite but it didnt boot. I had a quick look and couldn't get a bios boot so I put on the xecuter3CE. The d0 point is slightly scratched off where the customer tried to get it aligned. When I had a go it seemed to be making contact but the green led was solid when it looked to the eye that it was badly aligned and flashing green when aligned. Anyway no Cromwell screen on bootup just went straight to msdash. The tracks around the D0 point are clean its just the point itself that is a bit scraped up but not all that bad.

Anyway I fitted the 3CE and tried another chip to make sure it was doa but same probs. Anyone got any pointers? and what the flashing green hdd might be?

The is a Cyrstal 1.4.

Double check your d0 solder
can you boot to the backup bios? and what bios did you load on the x3?

Just checked the d0 and no change. I haven't loaded anything on as it hasn't booted to the flashbios yet.

Every now and then it will flash green orange and then red for a split second and then the flshing green about 6 times and then solid green.

Problem solved - for anyone else with the prob - don't use S Video!

Never had this before - 7 successful chips and still a noob!

yeah i had that happen too.. i only have hd cables so i had to borrow a friends cables. cromwell 2.6.0 didnt work with hd but cromwell 3.0.1 did. go figure
