Flashing problem: "waiting for drive"

noob here with a problem flahing. I have a v1.6 xbox. when using the the flash from CD option with FlashBIOS 3.0.1 the screen show "waiting for drive" after about a minute the tray opens and shows "insert CD..." close tray and get same thing again. What am I doing wrong?

I'm actually having the same problem I just installed my chip today and thought I could get the bios installed tonight..no luck though :l. I know I burned it right and I know I got the switches in the right position...

did you guys put in the dummy.bin file that is at least 100mb in size? Otherthing is some medias are more cooperative than others.

Honestly, I think the http option is a god send. It's so simple to configure as long as you have your xbox linked to a network or have a crossover cable and connect it directly to a computer. You probably would say "Dang, I wasted all this time in burning a bunch of coasters" after realizing it's so simple.

I've had the same problem until I changed my media from a cd to burning a dvd. If you don't have a burner, then ftp is your best bet. Sounds like the chip was installed correct.Hope this helps.

isplatu is probobly right !! try using a dvd or just use the http its much easyer than burning a cd or a dvd . that is if you have a pc next to you .

used the http method and flashed no problem....however new problem now. FRAG...checked all my connections no luck. M$ boots fine

you probably loaded wrong bios. What xbox version, bios version used and control panel switch config?
