I have a 1.0 xbox and i just flashed it with the x3 3294 bios, using the banks on, on, off, off. Everything uploaded perfectly i thought. After it finished uploading it turned off like it was suppose to. Now when i try to turn it on it trys to boot up but all of a sudden it turns off. I have a x3cp on the front. And my hd light is red when it's on for those 2 seconds. What coulld be the problem be.

Try to boot using off,on,off,off.
If it does boot then change the switches back to on,on,off, off BEFORE YOU FLASH. You don't want to overwrite your working copy of flashbios.
Make sure which version xbox you have and that you are using the right bios for it.( not the x3 3294 v1.6 on a 1.0 xbox)

You can use flashbios 3.0.3 to flash your v1.0 xbox.
Boot from off, on, off, off to get into flashbios then with the power still on change your switches to on, on, off, off so that you are only going to overwrite the first bank and not the bank where your flashbios is.
When you download the bios from xbins and unrar it there are two bios ( .bin )files, one has the name x3 3294 and the other x3 3294 v16 plus.
If you are sure you have a v1.0 xbox then use x3 3294.
As for the harddrive I agree with Islander it looks like it was locked in a different xbox. Is this correct?

No i'm using the original harddrive that was in the xbox. Can a harddrive get messed up if i leave it out in the open for long period of time. ANd i'm 100% sure that i used the x3 3294 when i flashed the xbox. So should i just try to flash it once again and see if it works. On my flash bios screen. I'm getting a message that says "unable to read HDD first sector getting partition table". What does that mean.

My mistake i just realized a little fact. I had to buy a new 1.0 mobo for the xbox and that is why my harddrive won't work with this mobo. But even now though i have flashed my xbox with 3294, 3293, 3284. When the flashing process is complete, i try to boot the xbox and it just turns off after 2 seconds. I'm thinking it could be something with the harddrive, so i'm going to try to put the brand new one i just bought and see if that makes a difference.

I don't know what i'm doing wrong. I thought it could have been the hardrive for some reason but that is not the case. I formatted the the new HDD on my other modded xbox and put the new HDD in the xbox i'm trying the flash. But that did not work. I even flashed it again with 3294, but it did not work. Someone help me out.

If you have another xbox with an x3 in it you could try and flash the new chip in it, just to prove the x3 is okay.
I suspect the problem with it failing to boot after flashing is a soldering problem, get your iron out and retouch all the pins on the lpc header.
Make sure you left the new harddrive unlocked after you formatted it in the other xbox.
I am using 3294 on my v1.0 xbox with a 160GB harddrive with no problems so it's not a compatability issue.
What happened to the original motherboard and are you sure the replacement one was working okay before you bought it, is it new or used?

But if bad soldering was the case. I thought that it would not boot up at all, i would have got the flash bios screen. I really have no idea if the replacement board was messed up or not. But i bought it at a reliable ebay store.

Well the chip worked on my other xbox. So i know it's not the chip. Guess that only leaves one other thing it could be, it must be the soldering. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Yes I agree it looks like it's the soldering somewhere. It won't be the D0 wire because it is trying to boot an alternative bios. I would look at the lpc pinheader. I would also check pins 13 and 14 very carefully as these pins are only used after flashing by the x3 bios. They aren't used by the cromwell flash bios screen.
Did you flash the x3 with 3294 in the other xbox and get it to boot to the config live, or just to the flashbios screen? If you flashed it with 3294 then this also eliminates your downloaded bios.

As far as the different versions of FlashBIOS, I just read that the Xecuter 3 has two versions of FlasBIOS installed, one on the first 1 MB bank and one on the other.

So, if you see different versions, you have probably been booting from the different banks.

I am having a similar problem as you. Everything seemed to go fine with the Modchip install (Xecuter 3 with solderless adapter) and with BIOS flashing. But, when I try to boot up from the flashed BIOS (3294 for 1.6) the xbox turns off real quick and I get the black screen...

If you have a v1.6 then you should use flashbios v3.01.
If you have a v1.0 like jrock then you can use either v3.01 or v3.03.
V3.01 is on switch setting: on, on, off, off (1234)
v3.03 is on switch setting: off, on, off, off (5678)
v3.01 is flashed to the backup on all x3's (hold power and eject to boot up)
