Martin C, you are still the man. Maybe if i explain things in the right forum with alittle more detail there might be hope for me yet. I read everything from 3 different sites a month before i got my chip. I followed installation every little detail. My X3 pin header went in good all the wires soldered good, I even went over it with a magnifying glass and electrical taped everything down. Now The Problem. (Oh the 3 websites Unofficial X3 Guide, The total noob guide to everything, and this website.) I had a file called flashbios_v303.rar. I used the winRAR to extract the files. i changed the flashbios.bin file to bios.bin. Then I learned about the dunmmy file from this website. I created a dummy file and named the file to dummy.bin. Got Nero burn 6 and followed the steps from the Tutorial. I powered up my Xbox, got the flashbios 3.0.0 blue screen and a solid blue light on my X3 chip. I made sure the switches were set to on on off off off, pushed the flash from disk option and put the disk in. It read the disk and the name of the disk came up which was X3_bios, and the next line said " No Updatable imformation found....Halting!" and that was it. Then i turned here. I got some help and was told to power up with the switches all off, got to the flashbios 3.0.0 screen then networkflash with the X3_1959. Me being a NooB changed the name to X3_1959.bin. guessing bad move. then i powered up the Xbox and got a black screen when i was told to power up with the switches set to on on off off off. It was told to me that i might have made a boob head mistake. Then i was told to boot to the back up bios(which does work) :D with the switches all off, flash over X3_1959 and when the Xbox turnes off set switches to on on off off on and it should boot to the X3_1959 bios. Still I have the black screen with no sound. The X3Chip has a solid blue light. Whats wrong? (Besides the fact that im a noob) Te switches on on off off gets the black screen but switches off on off off gets the flashbios 3.0.0 screen. sorry so long.

Boot to backup bios

set switches to off off off off off. (all to the left).

Flash X3 1959

Boot Xbox with X3 switches to on on off off off.

It should work!

I did what you said and i still get the blank screen. I have read all the forums and the tutorials and i have had the chip installed and having this problem for 2 weeks what the heck is wrong? And another thing, When i hold the power button down and the X3 light turns red I dont even get the M$ dashboard. All i get is the Flashbios 3.0.0 and thats it. I am about to throw this thing off of a mountain top.

"When i hold the power button down and the X3 light turns red I dont even get the M$ dashboard"

I'd check your D0 point as I think it's shorting against something else.

If you're getting FlashBIOS, but a blank screen with X3 1959, then you need to resolder pins 13 and 14 - it's a known issue that has a sticky for it (it's also in the news section).

Martin C, thanks for all your help and everyone else whom help me too. I talked to someone i worked with and he does mods on Xbox, and he said my problem was that i needed to switches TV's. It happend to him before and he didnt see any soldering problems. I had my Xbox RCAs plugged into a selector box to switch between game systems and all i had to just plugged them into the TV or try different TVs. To bad I already took my xbox apart and de-soldered everything to get my friend to do it  . I torched my motherboard trying to get the pin headder out. Lucky for me I have another Xbox. So to who reads this and is having this problem SWITCH TVs FIRST OR PLUG THE RCAs(red, yellow, red) PLUGS INTO THE TV hope i save some one some trouble and i will give the modding process another go.

Liteon 93450c flash

Hi!

I have a quick question: I have an Xbox 360 jasper 2, made in september 2009. It has the Liteon 93450 c drive. I had my xbox flashed and now I would like to know if I can flash the drive myself as I wouldn't like to pay for the flash again? The guys that flashed my xbox gave me the original firmware and the Liteon iXtreme LT firmware with the key spoofed(in JungleFlasher under firmware tool 32, after you spoof source to target you can hit save to file, that's the file i have). Can I use those files to flash my xbox and do I need the connection hardware(the CK3 Probe) or can I simply connect via sata cable?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Liteon 93450c flash

you would need the ck3 to aleast power the drive and a via6421a card. I am now offering discount flash services on here now. If you want me to flash yours I can do it pretty cheap.

Re: Liteon 93450c flash

if you have the firmware, you would be able to use that as source and use JF to load the firmware to flash it!

no external adapter required as you can use the xbox to power and on-board SATA to flash

however, the only way to know for sure is to try it out

good luck!

Re: Liteon 93450c flash

Ok, thanks for the tips guys, I'll give it a try when a newer version of iXtreme comes out(BTW when is it coming? I noticed that BenQ has iXtreme LT 1.2, is it coming for Liteon drives too?), I'll see what happens(I don't have a conectivity kit or whatever so I'll just connect using a simple SATA cable). I'll report if I discover something. Thanks again.

BTW marshamods thanks for the offer but I already had my Xbox flashed(paid 40€ too, that's 50$ damn ripoff), and besides I'm form Europe so and I saw that you're from the USA I don't know how I would get the console to you. Thanks anyway .
