I just flashed a phat liteon (originally 74850, now 02510c), everything looks good, using x360usb pro+ ck3i+ probe3. No single error in JF, but when the drive is in xbox it wont play backups. It plays originals without any problem, so the drive is probably ok. When backup is inserted is says play game and after launching the game it shows "Unrecognized disc" error.

The only reason which i have thought about is the dvd. Is not verbatim (is imation which is good quality dvd) and it has been used in 10´s of xboxes without any problem before. It is xgd2 game. Can the drive be so sensitive?

Anyway, my jf log is here:

I would do two things:

1. run your backup through Kprobe2. See what results you get.

2. Clean the lens on the DVD laser. If this doesn't help, replace the laser completely.

that dvd was running perfectly on other consoles, even half hour before it was running on slim console.

and originals are running without any struggle, only backups are doing it... that drive was never before opened/flashed and xbox is in perfect condition

i am asking whether it should be medium (which was my first thought) but as long as i had used this dvd many times i want to know if someone has similar experience while flashing fat liteon. Is that so hard to understand?

No - your process of elimination is sh*t. Is THAT hard to understand?

Regardless of the age/condition of a console, DVD drives are shipped lasers calibrated differently to one another. I've seen MANY cases where a flashed DVD drive was set really high and needed to be tweaked in order to read discs. There have been other cases where the drive wouldn't read anything other than originals.

So for starters, drop the fcuking attitude. You came here asking for help and you got an answer. It's either your disc or the drive. FACT.

Whether you want to take this advice is entirely up to you. Be an askhole all you like, but do it elsewhere. I'm sick to the back teeth of kiddies/noobies arguing with people here with a ton more experience than them, and then getting abusive when the answer isn't what they want to hear because CLEARLY they know better.

Guess what, Einstein? You posted here because you can't troubleshoot. I've already deduced the problem is more than likely the laser. Whether you like the reply or not, that's what needs attention.

See my quote in my sig? That's *you*.
