Hello, i am trying to flash this drive of mine and its on FW 0225, the xbox its in is on 15574 and i am aware that its locked. to unlock it i have seen quite a few guides and i noticed an option is the trace cut with the sputnik probe, will my old TX CK3 Probe V3 work instead of the sputnik probe? if not i will probably just go for the 10ohm gound technique. Thanks!

he already knows his drives locked and about sputnik probe,claims to have seen some guides.so maybe read more guides.just a thought
As mentioned, you need the spuntnik 360 or DIY probe to unlock. Note that the spuntnik 360 has different selectable resistance values and that 10 ohms doesn't always work. I needed to select 20 ohms for one of my 16D4S drives.
He never even confirmed that he has an MXIC chip.
If your chips starts with 03 (MXIC), then yes Sputnik360 will work. If it start with 05 (Winbond), then kamikaze hack or replacement unlocked PCB (no offence, but by the looks of things, you're best with replacement PCB if you have a Winbond chip).
