flashing TSOP

Can I use the X3ce to upgrade the flash on the TSOP?

Reason: I have the "call customer service" but no error number. v1.0 board with 39xx bios.

The X3 can not flash the TSOP.It boots above it. There are some mod chips that can flash the TSOP with a special Bios, but it is tricky. I reccomend using a first gen mod chip to boot paralle to the TSOP and then disabling it. Best way. Tons of info on the web on how to do.

On another note, can I flash the X3 with a retail bios so that I can get the error codes?

sorry i forgot to mention (got confused with a post that asked the exact question from before) If it is posting an error code. The TSOP probaly is not bad. The XBOX will just FRAG if the TSOP was bad 99% of the time.

Also, finding a first gen is hard, but not impossible. There is one called xray3, this is the one is great on reapiring your TSOP. Best part is that is still for sale.
